The Las Vegas Raiders made a few roster moves ahead of the NFL’s last cut day.
The team placed right tackle Brandon Parker on the IR List. Since Parker was placed on IR before the final roster cuts Tuesday, he is ineligible to return for the 2022 season. The third-round pick in the 2018 draft started 13 games for the Raiders last season. He resigned wit the team this offseason.
Parker’s injury leaves the door open for offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood to make the roster. Reports came out before the final preseason game that the former first-round pick could either be moved to a guard position, traded or cut.
Raiders game vs. N.E. big for right side of Las Vegas' O-line. Team feels unsettled there, at multiple spots, and several teams I've spoken to are keeping an eye on OL Alex Leatherwood, believing he might be traded or released. But Raiders wanted to evaluate game before decisions

Coach Josh McDaniels said the team has some tough decisions to make ahead of Tuesday’s deadlines.
“Our offensive line as a whole, there’s definitely some good things, some things we’ve made progress on and there’s definitely some areas where we can probably do better and improve. That’s what this time of the year is for. Alex took a lot of reps, and he’s played a lot of football for us. I think he knows our system a lot more now than he did in April, and that’s true for every offensive player on our team.”
Players Cut by Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders also cut a couple of players ahead of Tuesday’s cut day. The team cut tight end Nick Bowers and receiver Justin Hall.
The last round of NFL roster cuts comes Tuesday, Aug. 30. Team rosters go from 85 players to the 53-man roster. The NFL allows teams to have a max of 16 players on practice squads, too. The last day of preseason training camp for the NFL is Sunday, Sept. 4.
