Over the first three days of NFL free agency, the Las Vegas Raiders have added to its defense and receiving corps.

However, the biggest move came Monday when, needing a quarterback, the team signed former San Francisco 49ers‘ quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Reportedly worth three years, $67.5 million with $34 million guaranteed, the move reunites Garoppolo with coach Josh McDaniels.

Who else is donning the Silver and Black in 2023?

New to the Raiders’ offense

The first report of a new wide receiver joining the Las Vegas Raiders came from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The team agreed to terms with wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. Like Garoppolo, Meyers has ties to the New England Patriots and overlapped with McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler from 2019-2021. The deal is reportedly worth three years and $33 million.

Next up for the Raiders was journeyman Phillip Dorsett. The 30-year-old former first-round pick has an agreement with the team, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, however, the terms of the deal have not yet been released.

Dorsett was drafted by the Indiana Colts and has bounced around the league, playing for the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars and from 2017-2019, the New England Patriots.

They join Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow. Mack Hollins, who had a standout year in 2022, is a free agent.

New to on defense

The Las Vegas Raiders went into free agency with a plan…bolster the secondary. The names may not be flashy, but the team has added depth

The team announced on Wednesday they have re-signed safety Roderic Teamer. Terms of the deal were not released. Teamer played in all 17 games in the 2022 season, starting three of them. He recorded 35 tackles.

Reports also came out that the team has reached agreements with Philadelphia Eagles safety Marcus Epps and Indianapolis Colts cornerback Brandon Facyson. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the deal with Epps is for two years and $12 million. Terms of the deal with Facyson have not yet been released.

And Doug Kyed of AtoZ Sports reports linebacker Robert Spillane has agreed to a two-year deal worth $9 million with the Raiders. Spillane spent the last four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers after signing with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2018. The team confirmed the signing Thursday.
