Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has cleared the concussion protocol and is expected to play Monday night.
On Friday, Garoppolo returned to practice as a full participant before speaking to the media for the first time since Week 3’s game. When asked if he felt unwell after the game, he said yeah and explained what happened.
“The doctors grabbed me after the game, evaluation happened and it’s the NFL’s rule, there’s not much fighting it,” Garoppolo said, adding later in the press conference he wasn’t sure if it was a specific hit or a culmination of hits during Week 3’s loss. “There were some hits that game, so it could have been a number of different ones… It was a weird situation but we got through it.”
Garoppolo went on to say he feels good and believes the team is in a good spot.
“Guys had a good practice out there, we had a good rhythm, good tempo to us. It’s about doing the little things right now, that’s what we’re focused on,” Garoppolo said.
