Las Vegas Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce said the team’s Week 11 loss to the Miami Dolphins was a tale of two halves. That same story was told in the team’s Week 12 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Aidan O’Connell and the offense were able to lead the Silver & Black to a 14-0 lead early in the first half. The first score came on a
18-yard touchdown to Jakobi Meyers. Minutes into the second quarter, running back Josh Jacobs broke out for a 63-yard touchdown run. Jacobs would finish the day with 110 rushing yards, his second-highest mark of the season.

The Raiders’ 14-point lead did not last long though, as the Chiefs were able to tie up the game by halftime. In the second half, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs continued to add touchdowns to the scoreboard, while the Raiders could only muster a single field goal.

Defensive end Maxx Crosby, who was listed as doubtful with a knee injury, was able to play but only recorded one tackle. According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Crosby became the first player since 2020 to play after initially being listed as doubtful.

This was the first matchup between the Raiders and Chiefs this season. The two AFC West teams meet again on Christmas Day.

Las Vegas goes into its Bye Week with a 5-7 record, and 2-2 since Piece took over for Josh McDaniels.
