Logan Webb, San Francisco Giants agree to 5-year contract extension

Logan Webb is staying in San Francisco for the foreseeable future.
The Giants announced on Friday they’ve agreed to a five-year contract extension with their ace pitcher. The extension begins in 2024 and is worth $90 million.
Here’s how the extension breaks down:
- Webb will earn $8 million in 2024
- $12 million in 2025
- $23 million in 2026
- $23 million in 2027
- $24 million in 2028
Webb is still searching for his first win in the 2023 season. Through three games, he’s 0-3 with a 4.76 ERA.
The 26-year-old Rocklin native was selected in the fourth round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Giants. Last season, Logan Webb recorded a 2.9 ERA, got 163 strikeouts and finished with a 3.03 FIP. He finished with a 15-9 record.
