National basketball writer Mark Schindler joined the Deuce & Mo Show Tuesday to talk about the Sacramento Kings and their success this season, why De’Aaron Fox is reaching his potential, and how Mike Brown is getting the most out of the roster. Plus, can the Kings win a playoff series?

All that and more on Deuce & Mo.

“There’s a lot of reasons to be excited about [the Sacramento Kings] in the playoffs, like I would bet on them making the second round. That’s where I’m at with them right now,” Schindler said on the show Tuesday. As much as everybody wants to think, ‘Oh well, what about when they have to play defense in the playoffs?’ Like okay well, what about when you have to play the Kings’ offense in the playoffs? Like, it’s a two way street.”

Topics discussed include:

  • His opinion on the Haliburton-Sabonis trade
  • Why Fox and Sabonis are the perfect duo?
  • Who is Mark’s favorite all-time Kings player?
  • Why Mark thinks Mike Brown is maximizing the current roster
  • How has the play-in tournament impacted the regular season?
  • Is the game easier for De’Aaron Fox?
  • What changed for Fox’s approach to the game?
  • Is Mark a “Trey Bae”?
  • Why Malik Monk’s shot is the key to his offense
  • How far can the Kings go in the 2023 postseason?
  • Why Mark is bullish on Sacramento’s ability to adapt
  • Can Sabonis and Fox make All-NBA?
