The NFL continues to recognize Maxx Crosby and the season he put together last season.
On Thursday, the league and The Associated Press announced its finalists for their 2023 awards, with the Raiders defensive end among the nominees for the Defensive Player of the Year award. Crosby has already earned his third-straight Pro Bowl nomination earlier this year and was also named to the Second-Team All-Pro.
The NFL Honors Award ceremony will take place prior to Super Bowl XLVII in Las Vegas.
Maxx Crosby led the league with 23 tackles for a loss, his second year in a row leading the NFL in that category. The 26-year-old edge rusher finished the 2023 NFL season tied for fifth in the league for sacks (14.5) with a 92 defensive grade from Pro Football Focus, the fifth highest of all defensive players. Crosby led the Raiders in quarterback hits (31) and quarterback pressures (50), too.
