Last Sunday, Maxx Crosby became the first player since 2020 to play in a game after being listed as doubtful leading into game time.
Dealing with a knee injury, he finished the game with only one tackle. After the game, the Raiders defensive end spoke about his week and how he was able to play for the Silver & Black.
“I had some infections, different things like that, so I was down for the count for a few days,” Crosby said of his hospital stay.
When asked to describe his week, Crosby said it was “rough.”
“I battled a lot of things. But I don’t want to miss any games regardless. Things happen in life, I’ve been through a lot in general, so some people have their opinions, think I’m crazy. But I know I’m crazy, so it’s fine. I love it,” Crosby said. “Everything I do, I do with a purpose, and I did everything in my power all week and I can’t give enough credit to everybody on the Raiders staff. Alex Guerrero, Tim Harkins, all those guys they did everything in their power, and I pissed them off and kept them up all night trying to get on the field. So, I can’t say enough about those guys.”
Crosby and the rest of the Raiders will get a chance to rest and heal up as they get a late-season Bye before welcoming the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14.
