The Oakland Athletics reinstated All-Star closer Mason Miller from the 15-day injured list on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old right-hander has not pitched since July 22 due to a fractured left pinky finger. Miller is 1-1 with 15 saves and a 2.21 ERA in 34 appearances out of the Oakland bullpen this season.

The A’s also recalled infielder Armando Alvarez from Triple-A Las Vegas, placed outfielder/first baseman Seth Brown on the paternity list and designated right-hander Gerardo Reyes for assignment.
