Alec Burleson hit two homers and drove in five runs to propel the St. Louis Cardinals past the visiting San Francisco Giants 9-4 on Saturday.

Paul Goldschmidt hit his 350th career homer, a two-run shot, and Brendan Donovan hit a solo homer as the Cardinals won for the seventh time in 10 games.

Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas (6-6) allowed four runs on six hits in six innings. He struck out three and walked two.

St. Louis center fielder Michael Siani exited the game in the fourth inning after suffering bruised ribs while making a diving catch. Third baseman Nolan Arenado left in the eighth inning due to left forearm discomfort.

Michael Conforto drove in three runs and Matt Chapman scored twice for the Giants, who lost their fourth straight game.

Giants starting pitcher Jordan Hicks (4-4) allowed a season-high earned five runs on six hits, three walks and a hit batter in four innings.

The Giants opened the game by taking a 3-0 first-inning lead. Brett Wisely led off with a single, then two-out singles by Jorge Soler, Chapman and Conforto gave San Francisco the early advantage.

The Cardinals got two runs back in the bottom of the inning. Burleson hit a single and Goldschmidt smacked his homer.

San Francisco increased its lead to 4-2 in the third inning when Chapman walked and scored on Conforto’s double off the right field wall.

St. Louis staged a two-out rally to surge ahead 5-4 in the fourth inning. Dylan Carlson hit a single, Masyn Winn lined a double, and Burleson launched his three-run homer.

Burleson struck again in the sixth inning. He followed Winn’s single with a two-run homer that pushed the Cardinals’ lead to 7-4.

The Cardinals made it 9-4 in the seventh inning. Donovan hit a homer, then singles by Pedro Pages, Carlson and Winn produced another run.
