Heliot Ramos was called up to the San Francisco Giants on May 8th, 38 games into the 2024 MLB season.
Yet, the 24-year-old was named to his first MLB All-Star Game on Sunday, where he will join fellow teammate Logan Webb in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday, July 17th.
After starting the year with the Sacramento River Cats, Ramos has thrived with the Giants over the past two months. The Puerto Rican talent is batting .299 with 12 home runs, 41 RBI, and a .886 on-base-plus-slugging-percentage over 54 games.
Ramos is San Francisco’s youngest All-Star since 2015 (Joe Panik) and the first homegrown outfielder to make a midsummer classic roster since Chili Davis did so in 1986.
