Rocklin native Logan Webb has punched his ticket to Arlington, Texas.
The San Francisco Giants ace was named to his first MLB All-Star Game on Sunday, joining a National League roster that also includes rookie outfielder Heliot Ramos.
Webb, 27, has been a force for the Giants this season, posting a 7-6 record and 3.09 ERA (8th in the NL) over 19 starts to go along with 103 strikeouts.
The right-hander leads all National League pitchers with 119.1 innings pitched this season and has thrown at least six innings in each of his starts over the past two months.
