San Francisco Giants catcher Patrick Bailey was placed back on the seven-day concussion injured list on Tuesday after having a stint there earlier this month.
The Giants recalled shortstop Marco Luciano from Triple-A Sacramento in advance of Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Bailey, 24, originally took a foul ball to the face mask from the Philadelphia Phillies’ Alec Bohm in a game on May 3. He spent a week away from the team before he returned Saturday and played against the Cincinnati Reds. He hasn’t played since.

Bailey has hit .280 with three home runs and 11 RBIs in 26 games this season. In 123 games over the past two seasons for San Francisco, he is batting .243 with 10 home runs and 59 RBIs.
Luciano, 22, is making his first appearance in the major leagues this season. He played his first 14 major league games last season for the Giants and went 9-for-39 (.231) with three doubles.
