Oakland Athletics Acquire Mike Fiers

The Oakland Athletics announced that they got their man. On August 6, the A’s announced they acquired Mike Fiers in exchange for two players to be named later or cash considerations, per CBS Sports.

Fiers’s time in Detroit ends after 21 starts. He would help bolster the Athletics rotation as they make a bid for a wild card spot in the AL West.
