Right after the final selection of the 2024 NBA Draft, teams around the league begin signing undrafted free agents to varying deals. In 2022, the Sacramento Kings found Keon Ellis, who started 21 games last season, in undrafted free agency.
This year, the Kings have added Washington State’s Isaac Jones on a two-way deal, per ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski.
By the end of last season, Sacramento’s two-way spots consisted of Mason Jones, Jalen Slawson, and Jordan Ford. Ford and Slawson are currently in restricted free agency, but no spots remain after the Isaiah Crawford and Jones signing. Their three ways are filled with two Joneses and one Crawford.
Isaac Jones has one of the most unique paths among this year’s NBA Draft class. He was cut from his 8th-grade team, didn’t play AAU basketball, and worked as a truck loader after high school before landing at Wenatchee Valley CC.

After playing three seasons at Wenatchee Valley College playing JUCO ball, Isaac Jones transferred to Idaho before moving again to Washington State for his fifth collegiate season in 2023-24. With the Cougars, he averaged 15.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.1 blocks, and 0.5 steals per game on 57.5 percent from the field, 1/14 from three, and 71.2 percent on free-throws.
Jones measured in at 6’7.75 without shoes at the NBA Combine, with a 7’3 wingspan.
