Front office insider and former NBA general manager Bobby Marks joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross Friday morning to discuss the De’Aaron Fox situation that the Sacramento Kings are dealing with and how they may navigate the week leading up to the February 6th trade deadline.
They discussed the assets that the Kings and Spurs are working with in any potential trade conversations, including the financial outlook of both sides.
As a former GM, Bobby Marks gave a peek behind the curtain to how these trade conversations take place among teams, agents, and through the media.

The Sacramento Kings will not have representation at the 2025 NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco, with neither of Domantas Sabonis nor De’Aaron Fox being named to the team on Thursday afternoon.
In 44 games this season, Sabonis is averaging 20.9 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists on 61.0 percent from the field and 48.1 percent from the field. It’s a career-high in points, rebounds, three-point percentage, and minutes (36.3). He also leads the NBA in double-doubles (42) while third in triple-doubles (8).
Fox, meanwhile, has tallied 25.1 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.0 rebounds on 46.8 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from three over 44 games. Sacramento is currently 10th in the Western Conference with a 24-23 record.
Stephen Curry, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Nikola Jokic will be starting for the Western Conference. The announced reserves are Anthony Edwards, Anthony Davis, James Harden, Jaren Jackson Jr., Alperen Sengun, Jalen Williams, and Victor Wembanyama.
