De’Aaron Fox is hosting a kid’s basketball camp at the Hardwood Palace from June 17th through June 21. On Wednesday, Fox spoke with the media at the camp in Rocklin about a handful of topics, including the recent extension of Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown.
With two seasons in the book, Brown earned a three-year, $30-million extension this offseason. Since being drafted to Sacramento with the fifth pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Fox has dealt with plenty of turnover with head coaches.
“If you count Alvin (Gentry), this is my fourth coach,” De’Aaron Fox said. “I came into a situation that was anything but stable. But, for us, I feel like we got better. Obviously, we kind of took a step back. We won two less games, but we dropped six spots, especially with the way that the West is going. But, like I said, just having that stability helps in the long run, I feel like.”
When is the next NBA off-season date of interest?
The NBA Draft is now a two-night event.
Wednesday, June 26th, will act as the first night of the 2024 NBA Draft, where the Sacramento Kings will make their first-round selection (13th). The second round of the draft will be held on Thursday, June 27th, where the Kings will use its 45th overall pick.
Sacramento hasn’t had a first-round pick since 2022, when it selected Iowa product Keegan Murray with the fourth overall pick.
