Devin Carter looks to bring ‘winning plays’ to Kings

Although Sacramento Kings rookie Devin Carter will be sidelined until the second half of the season due to a shoulder injury, the guard hopes to learn from the veterans around him as he works towards a return.

Carter joined Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross to share an update on his recovery from shoulder surgery, convey his excitement about playing in front of Sacramento fans, and much more.

Devin Carter, 22, was the Big East Player of the Year in 2023-24 while also taking home All-Big East First Team Honors. At 6’3, Carter finished the season ranked 3rd in rebounds per game (8.7) and total rebounds (286) among all Big East players.

The rookie guard will be sidelined until January at the earliest as he recovers from surgery that repaired a torn labrum in his left shoulder.

When is the next Sacramento Kings game?

The Kings will go through a week of practice and full-contact workouts before opening up the preseason portion of their 2024-25 schedule at home against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, October 9th.
