JaVale McGee says Mike Brown ‘deserves exactly what he got’

JaVale McGee joined The Drive Guys in studio Monday afternoon to discuss the Mike Brown extension, last season in Sacramento, and more.
Throughout the conversation, they asked JaVale McGee about the recent three year, up to $30 million extension head coach Mike Brown received over the weekend. The three-time NBA Champion credited center Domantas Sabonis for playing through injuries, claiming that mindset became infectious throughout the locker room in 2023-24.
Of course, they also discussed the future of JaVale McGee and if he plans to continue his NBA career. The seven footer also spoke highly of the young players on Sacramento’s roster, specifically their promising work ethics, while speaking with The Drive Guys.

When is the next NBA off-season date of interest for JaVale McGee?
The NBA Draft is now a two-night event.
Wednesday, June 26th, will act as the first night of the 2024 NBA Draft, where the Sacramento Kings will make their first-round selection (13th). The second round of the draft will be held on Thursday, June 27th, where the Kings will use its 45th overall pick.
Sacramento hasn’t had a first-round pick since 2022, when it selected Iowa product Keegan Murray with the fourth overall pick.
