Amid all the trade conversations surrounding De’AAron Fox, DeMar DeRozan shared his perspective on the Run It Back show. After signing with the Sacramento Kings this offseason, he’s dealt with his first mid-season coaching chance, and now the trade rumors surrounding Fox, who played a big part in his recruitment to California’s capital.
“It’s tough, because looking at the landscape before I came here, those were the guys I talked to: Fox, (Domantas Sabonis), and Malik (Monk),” DeMar DeRozan said.
“Those were the core guys that made it easy for me to make my decision to play here and a key player, a key juggernaut in Fox, not knowing the future of that does make it tough. You know I don’t have much time left. I’m not trying to play another five years. I’m trying to maximize the opportunity that we have now to play with a great team,” he continued.
“It’s something that we’ve just got to wait out and see and, in the meantime, make the most of it. So, we’ll see how it pans out.”
