The Sacramento Kings seemed on the verge of returning to full health, but two-way player Mason Jones suffered an injury in Wednesday’s Stockton Kings 109-98 win over the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Mason Jones logged 16 points, seven assists, and three rebounds on 6/13 from the field and 4/8 from three in his 31 minutes that night. Unfortunately, the Kings announced his injury just one day removed from that showing.

Kings guard Mason Jones sustained a strained hamstring in the Stockton Kings game versus the Santa Cruz Warriors on Wednesday, November 20.

MRI imaging confirmed a right hamstring strain. He will be listed as out and will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days.

With injuries to DeMar DeRozan, Domantas Sabonis, and Malik Monk (with the latter two likely to play Friday night against the Los Angeles Clippers in Intuit Dome), Mason Jones got some rare opportunity with the Sacramento team playing just over eight minutes in their 121-117 win over the Utah Jazz.

It’s hard to imagine that a fully healthy Sacramento squad would often feature the likes of M. Jones, but depth can become vital at a moment’s notice.

When is the next game for Mason Jones & Sacramento Kings game?

Sacramento will enjoy a much-needed three-day break before facing the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome on Friday night.

The Kings and Clippers will cross paths in another NBA Cup group play game, with Sacramento (0-1) and Los Angeles (0-1) each seeking their first win in the Western Conference Group A standings.
