Following the news that head coach Mike Brown and the Sacramento Kings have tabled extension talks, the Los Angeles Clippers handed Ty Lue a lucrative contract on Wednesday.

Brown is reportedly seeking an “eight-figure deal” that would pay him around $10 million per season. This contract would be similar to those of recent Phoenix Suns hire Mike Budenholzer and Detroit Pistons head coach Monty Williams, as well as Lue’s $14 million per season deal with the Clippers.

Now that Lue has been extended, does that mean that Brown is next?

The Athletic’s Sam Amick joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross on Thursday morning to discuss what Lue’s extension means for the Brown-Kings talks, preview Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, and much more.
