The Sacramento Kings have utilized their G-League program, the Stockton Kings, for crucial development in recent years, with Keon Ellis being the most obvious example.
Lindsey Harding, their head coach last season, has left to join JJ Redick’s coaching staff on the Los Angeles Lakers, leaving the Stockton Kings with a clear hole to fill. They could choose to promote internally with someone like Will Scott or look to bring in an external option.
Earlier this week, they announced their G-League 2024-25 regular-season schedule.
For the fourth season, the NBA G League schedule will be divided into two parts: the newly minted 16-game Tip-Off Tournament, followed by a 34-game regular season. All 31 NBA G League teams will compete in at least 50 games during the 2024-25 season.

When is the next Sacramento Kings offseason date of interest?
Now that we know when the Kings will suit up for their season-opener, we can look forward to October 24th for the Beam Team’s season-opening matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Training camps will begin at the end of September, meaning there could still be a move or two up general manager Monte McNair’s sleeve to round out Sacramento’s roster before players report to Golden 1 Center.
