It’s a special year for the Sacramento Kings, as the franchise will celebrate its 40th year of calling California’s state capital city home.

To celebrate 40 years of Kings basketball in Sacramento, The Drive Guys‘ duo of Kevin ‘Whitey’ Gleason and Kyle Draper have gathered up a panel of journalists, media personalities, and fans to vote on the top 40 players in the Sacramento era (1985-present).

Barbara Rust–the legendary Sacramento Kings Sign Lady–and her husband Niko joined The Drive Guys this week to explain how their voting process took shape, shared stories from the past, and much more.

Plus: Barbara shares how many signs she has and where those signs go after they are used during games.

When is the next Sacramento Kings offseason date of interest?

Now that we know when the Kings will suit up for their season-opener, we can look forward to October 24th for the Beam Team’s season-opening matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Training camps will begin at the end of September, meaning there could still be a move or two up general manager Monte McNair’s sleeve to round out Sacramento’s roster before players report to Golden 1 Center.
