Zach LaVine brings his stellar offensive production to Sacramento

Chuck Swirsky, radio play-by-play broadcaster for the Chicago Bulls, joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross Monday morning to discuss what Zach LaVine can provide to the Sacramento Kings in 2024-25 and beyond.
“(The Kings) getting a tremendous, fluid basketball player who, in my opinion, is an elite, elite offensive player in many ways,” Swirsky said.
In 42 games played with the Bulls this season, Zach LaVine is averaging 24 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists on 51.1 percent from the field.
Perhaps the most intriguing aspect for Sacramento, who ranks 34th in three-point percentage (34.5 percent) and attempts (36.1/g), is LaVine’s 38.7 percent career conversion rate from beyond the arc — and this year has been a career-best for him in that regard.
The 6’5 guard is knocking down 44.6 percent of his 7.2 three-point attempts per night. Dave, Jason, and Chuck dove into how that could benefit the Kings this season, as well as everything Zach LaVine provides to the new-look squad.
All that and PLENTY of other great conversations can be heard using the link above or on the Sactown Sports YouTube page.
Listen to The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross from 6 – 10 a.m. PST, Monday through Friday, on Sactown Sports 1140.

After spending his first seven and a half NBA seasons with the Sacramento Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been traded to the San Antonio Spurs. The morning after the deal was announced, the former Kings’ guard took to social media to thank the city of Sacramento and their fanbase.
“I can’t quite find the words to express what I want to say, but thank you,” he said via X. “Coming in as a 19-year-old kid and leaving as a 27-year-old man, I’m grateful I got to spend the beginning of my young adulthood here. The love for the city is unmatched.”
From what I’ve gathered, Fox wanted it to work in Sacramento. He was never interested in going to another big city, and he even partially preferred San Antonio because the city has a similar feel to Sacramento.
