USA Basketball schedule for Group Phase| 2024 Paris Olympics

Wednesday, July 31st vs. South Sudan – 12:00 PM PDT
Saturday, August 3rd vs. Puerto Rico – 8:15 AM PDT

How the Olympic format works: 12 teams are divided into three groups of four. Each group plays a round-robin schedule against the other three teams in its group. Two points are awarded for a win and one point for a loss. Tiebreakers within the group are decided head-to-head.

Based on total points, the top two teams from each group, plus the top two third-place teams, advance to the quarterfinals, at which point it becomes a single-elimination knockout tournament. In the case of a tie between teams from opposing groups for the two wild card spots, it’s broken by the total score differential.
