How to watch Game 5 between the Boston Celtics & Miami Heat

If the Boston Celtics want to channel the 2004 Boston Red Sox and erase a 3-0 deficit, they will have to take care of business in Thursday night’s Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals at TD Garden.

After shocking the NBA world by taking a 3-0 series lead over the defending Eastern Conference champions, the eighth-seed Miami Heat dropped Game 4 at home as the Celtics made it clear that they will not go quietly.

Starting at a 3-1 deficit, Boston has to feel confident in returning home–a setting that saw the Celtics hold an East-best 32-9 record versus Miami’s unimpressive 17-24 road record.

While the road record would indicate that Boston holds a clear advantage in Game 5, it was the Heat that took the first two games of this series at the Garden while Jimmy Butler put his stamp on the series by averaging 31.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 4.5 steals during the two games thus far in Boston.
