Klay Thompson signs three-year deal with Dallas Mavericks

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Klay Thompson has signed a three-year, $50-million deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

After winning four NBA Championships over 11 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, Klay Thompson is headed elsewhere.

According to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, Thompson is headed to the Dallas Mavericks on a three-year, $50-million deal with a player option on the final season.

It’s the end of an era in The Bay Area, with the “splash brothers” officially splitting up, marking the first time Klay Thompson will be wearing a different jersey.

With the Mavericks having gone to the NBA Finals last season and the playmaking on their roster in the form of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the sharpshooting guard should get plenty of opportunities to show off his still deadly jump shot.

When is the next NBA off-season date of interest?

Now that the NBA Draft is in the rearview, all eyes will shift to the start of free agency.

All 30 teams will be able to negotiate free-agent deals with players beginning this Sunday, June 30th, at 3:00 PM PDT.

Sacramento already did some heavy lifting by agreeing to a four-year, $78 million deal with Sixth Man of the Year runner-up Malik Monk, as the two sides agreed on a long-term contract last weekend.
