Sacramento Kings color analyst Kayte Christensen joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross to discuss the Kings’ continued success, turning their stellar defense into offense, how they can keep it up, and more.

With a 9-2 record under interim head coach Doug Christie, the Kings have climbed to eighth seed in the Western Conference after sitting as low as 12th.

“One of the great things during this stretch has been that they have been able to create, on a really consistent basis, good offense from their defense,” Christensen said.

They host the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, with hopes to keep their positive momentum alive.

As the conversation continued, they dove into what the Kings can do to maintain their upward trajectory and how their up-and-down three-point shooting plays a factor.

Since he took over for Mike Brown, the Kings are 9-2, climbing to 8th in the Western Conference.

“(Christie’s) obviously been a Sacramento King before, playing at Arco, and he knows how loud it can get, how fun it can be to play at home, and how troubling it can be for opposing teams to play there,” Keegan Murray said.

Sacramento’s 123-100 home win over the Washington Wizards on Sunday, they improved to 12-12 after their unideal start hosting teams in Golden 1 Center.

“He knows that before he started coaching, we weren’t great at home, and he’s just righted the ship with our intensity, our focus at home to win games, get the crowd into it.”
