Sacramento Kings release 2026-27 regular season schedule

The Sacramento Kings schedule for the 2026-27 season has arrived!

Sacramento will begin the 2026-27 campaign Wednesday, Oct. 21, against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome.

Sacramento will then return home for its first game at Golden 1 Center on Friday, Oct. 23, when Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers come to town.

January will be the Kings’ busiest stretch, with 17 games on the schedule. Sacramento will play seven of those games at home and 10 on the road, making it the most road-heavy month of the season.

March is close behind with 16 games, including nine home games and seven road contests. The heavy workload in those two months could make them particularly important stretches of the season as the Kings navigate the middle and latter portions of the campaign.

November, meanwhile, gives the Kings their most home-heavy month. Sacramento has 11 home games and just three road games scheduled for a total of 14 contests, giving the team an extended opportunity to play at Golden 1 Center early in the season.

The upcoming season will be an important one for Sacramento following a disappointing 2025-26 campaign. The Kings finished last season 22-60, but the roster will look to turn the page with several key storylines entering the new year.

Seventh overall pick Darius Acuff Jr. is expected to take over at point guard and will begin his NBA career with significant expectations after Sacramento selected him in the 2026 NBA Draft.

The Kings will also hope to finally see Domantas Sabonis and Keegan Murray share the floor consistently. The two players dealt with injuries throughout last season and never played a single game together, making their return to the court one of the most important developments for Sacramento.

Meanwhile, Zach LaVine and De’Andre Hunter both enter the final years of their respective contracts, adding another layer of intrigue to the upcoming season as the Kings look to climb out of the Western Conference cellar.

For now, Kings fans know where the season will begin: on the road against the Clippers on Oct. 21, followed by the home opener against Portland two days later.

What is the next Sacramento Kings Offseason Event?

The start of the 2026-27 season is quickly approaching for Darius Acuff Jr. and the Sacramento Kings.

Sacramento will begin training camp in late September as they prepare to begin preseason play on Monday, October 5th when they face Luka Doncic and the new-look Los Angeles Lakers at Golden 1 Center.
