De’Aaron Fox Diagnosed With Bone Bruise, Considered Day-To-Day

That sound that you just heard was the entire city of Sacramento breathing a collective sigh of relief.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Kings guard De’Aaron Fox has been diagnosed with a right knee bone bruise after colliding with Charlotte Hornets forward, Nick Richards on Monday night.

An MRI that was conducted on Tuesday came back clean for the 24-year-old, and he will be considered day-to-day after avoiding serious injury.

De’Aaron Fox is averaging 24.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game on 54 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent from beyond three point arc.

Second-year guard Davion Mitchell is expected to start at the point guard spot until the franchise guard is cleared to return.

During Monday night’s win against the Hornets, Mitchell drilled a career-high five three-point field goals en route to a 23-point outing.
