Jerry Reynolds: Doug Christie has “done a marvelous job”

Former Sacramento Kings head coach, general manager, and TV analyst Jerry Reynolds joined The Drive Guys on Thursday to discuss the job interim head coach Doug Christie has done up to this point, the addition of Markelle Fultz, Keegan Murray reaching his potential, and more.

With their recent trade deadline changes, most notably swapping out De’Aaron Fox for Zach LaVine, Jerry Reynolds’ opinion on their new look.

Doug Christie, who stepped in as interim head coach mid-season when Mike Brown was let go, has “done a marvelous job” in the eyes of Reynolds.

The conversation also included the potential impact of Fultz, if Murray can fulfill his full potential on the current roster, if Keon Ellis deserves to be in the starting/closing lineups.

The Sacramento Bee’s Chris Biderman joined The Allen Stiles Show on Thursday to discuss where the Sacramento Kings stand, specifically their future outlook, after their busy trade deadline.

Trading away De’Aaron Fox, Kevin Huerter, Alex Len, and Jordan McLaughlin in exchange for Zach LaVine, Jonas Valanciunas, Jake LaRavia, and (essentially) two first-round picks was a questionable decision in Biderman’s eyes.

When is the next Kings game?

The playoff push will begin on Friday night at Golden 1 Center when the Sacramento Kings face a familiar foe–the Golden State Warriors as both teams hope to climb the Western Conference standings.
