Report: Sacramento adds assistant Riccardo Fois to coaching staff

Italian National Team head coach Gianmarco Pozzecco announced his assistant, Riccardo Fois, will join Sacramento's staff as an assistant.

With Jordi Fernandez being named the new Brooklyn Nets head coach and Deividas Dulkys following, Mike Brown is filling some of those spots on his staff for 2024-25. During a Friday press conference, Italian National Team head coach Gianmarco Pozzecco announced that his assistant, Riccardo Fois, would join Sacramento next season as an assistant, per Cesare Milanti of Eurohoops.

After five years in various roles at Gonzaga, Fois joined Monty Williams’ staff in Phoenix from the 2019 to 2021 seasons, when the Suns reached the NBA Finals.

Gianmarco Pozzecco just revealed that Riccardo Fois, assistant coach of the Italian national team, will join the Sacramento Kings’ coaching staff next year.

Since then, Riccardo Fois has played a significant role as an assistant coach in the player development program at the University of Arizona. With Fernandez and Dulkys headed to Brooklyn, Fois will help fill their void by bringing his variety of experience to the Kings.

When is the next NBA off-season date of interest?

The NBA Draft is now a two-night event.

Wednesday, June 26th, will act as the first night of the 2024 NBA Draft, where the Sacramento Kings will make their first-round selection (13th). The second round of the draft will be held on Thursday, June 27th, where the Kings will use its 45th overall pick.

Sacramento hasn’t had a first-round pick since 2022, when it selected Iowa product Keegan Murray with the fourth overall pick.
