Right after the final selection of the 2024 NBA Draft, teams around the league begin signing undrafted free agents to varying deals. In 2022, the Sacramento Kings found Keon Ellis, who started 21 games last season, in undrafted free agency.
This year, the Kings have added Lousiana Tech’s Isaiah Crawford on a two-way deal, per The Athletic‘s Shams Charania.
By the end of last season, Sacramento’s two-way spots consisted of Mason Jones, Jalen Slawson, and Jordan Ford. Ford and Slawson are currently in restricted free agency, with Jones and Crawford leaving one open spot.
Isaiah Crawford was a clear first round talent in my eyes.

Some scouts had a very high grade on 22-year-old Isaiah Crawford, who played five seasons at Lousiana Tech. In 2023-24, he averaged 16.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.7 blocks on 48.5 percent from the field, 41.4 percent from three, and 72.8 percent from the free throw line.
At 6’6 with a 7-foot wingspan, Isaiah Crawford was named Conference USA Player of the Year and CUSA Defensive Player of the Year last season.
A potential ‘three-and-D’ prospect, he will get a chance to develop with the Stockton Kings and the opportunity to work his way up to the Sacramento squad if things go well, similarly to Ellis.
When is the next NBA off-season date of interest?
The NBA Draft is now a two-night event.
Wednesday, June 26th, will be the first night of the 2024 NBA Draft. The second round will be held on Thursday, June 27th, and the Kings will use their 45th overall pick.
Sacramento hasn’t had a first-round pick since 2022, when it selected Iowa product Keegan Murray with the fourth overall pick.
