Stockton Kings sign 6’10 F/C Kenneth Nwuba

The Stockton Kings announced have acquired 6'10 F/C Kenneth Nwuba from the available player pool.

As the Sacramento Kings made plenty of changes during the trade deadline and in the days following their G-League affiliate, the Stockton Kings are also continuing to alter their roster. On Thursday, Stockton announced they acquired forward-center Kenneth Nwuba from the available player pool.

The following is from Stockton’s media release announcing the signing of Kenneth Nwuba:

Nwuba, 6-10, played for the University of California, Los Angeles from 2018 to 2024, appeared in 123 games (eight starts) and averaged 1.0 points (55.1% FG, 52.2% FT) and 1.5 rebounds in 8.0 minutes per game. He posted totals of 122 points, 153 rebounds, 36 blocks, and 14 steals in his collegiate career. The Lagos, Nigeria native attended high school at Arlington Country Day School in Jacksonville, Florida (2014-15), Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia (2015-17), and played his senior season at Huntington Prep in Huntington, West Virginia (2017-18).

Zach LaVine had his best showing as a member of the Sacramento Kings, recording 32 points and 10 assists on 12/24 shooting, but they fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 140-133 in overtime Thursday night.

Known Kings-killer since the organization didn’t draft him in the 2013 NBA Draft, CJ McCollum ended the night with 43 points on 16/25 after just six points in the first half.

It was a career night on the glass for Domantas Sabonis, who had 22 points and 28 rebounds (13 offensive), but poor defense continues to plague Sacramento.

They head into the All-Star break with a 28-27 record, with some much-needed practice time expected after the break.
