Kings vs. Mavericks Injury Report: Who’s in & out?

The Sacramento Kings will face the Dallas Mavericks in a win-or-go-home showdown on Wednesday night at Golden 1 Center without a few key pieces on both sides.

Sacramento will not have dynamic guard Malik Monk (left calf strain) or versatile forward Jake LaRavia (hand), while Dallas will take the floor without star guard Kyrie Irving (torn ACL) for the NBA Play-In Tournament’s ninth-vs-tenth seed game.

Monk will be re-evaluated sometime next week after missing the final three games of the regular season, while LaRavia continues to progress towards a potential return if the Kings can advance into the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Defensive specialist Keon Ellis (1.5 steals per game) will likely remain in his starting role alongside DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, Keegan Murray, and Domantas Sabonis as the Kings will look to further slow a depleted Mavericks backcourt that will be sorely missing Irving’s impact.

When is the next Sacramento Kings game?

It’s win-or-go-home time for Sacramento.

The postseason has arrived as the Kings will play in a do-or-die Play-In game against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night at Golden 1 Center.

If Sacramento wins, they will advance to play the loser of the seventh vs. eighth seed game on Friday night on the road.

The Kings had Dallas’ number this season, sweeping the three-game regular season series while winning each contest by an average of 11.6 points. While the Mavericks have struggled on the road this season (17-24), they have found success at Golden 1 Center over the years (4-3 in Sacramento since the start of the 2020-21 season).
