After collecting 257 yards both on the ground and through the air in No. 5 UC Davis’ win over Eastern Washington, senior running back Lan Larison has been named the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week.
Larison ran for 182 yards and one rushing touchdown, a season-high for the Aggie back. And he snagged 75 yards through the air on five receptions. He had a long rush of 53 yards, which ended in the endzone and he nearly broke a scoring play on a 41-yard reception.
The Aggies knocked off Eastern Washington for the first time in program history, taking down the Eagles on the red turf of Roos Field, 48-38. Larison becomes the first Aggie to earn Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week honors this season, and he joins junior linebackers Porter Connors (Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week) and David Meyer (Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week) as the only Aggies to earn Big Sky weekly honors this season.

More on UC Davis football
For the first time in program history, No. 6 UC Davis took down Eastern Washington, out gaining the Eagles on the red turf of Roos Field behind over 500 yards of total offense and 257 all-purpose yards from senior running back Lan Larison.
“It’s a great feeling after that win, and today was a great example of how hard it is to win on the road in this conference,” UC Davis head coach Tim Plough said of the triumph.
“I’m proud of our team as they continue to have a closed mindset and focus on themselves. We are playing good football and finding ways to win, so I am proud of this team and the effort they continue so show. We will enjoy this win before pivoting to a much-needed bye week and then Northern Colorado.”
