If you’re getting the itch for NFL football, there is good and bad news.

Let’s start with the bad news: We still have 115 days until the 2024 regular season kicks off. But here’s the good news: We now have the teams that will be battling it out in the season opener.

The NFL announced on Monday morning that the regular season schedule will begin with a matchup between two MVPs. Patrick Mahomes and the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will host Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, September 5th, at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kick-off is set for 5:20 PM PT on NBC.

That’s not all!

The NFL also announced a Friday night game–that’s right, a Friday night game–on September 6th between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles in a showdown that will take place in SĂŁo Paulo, Brazil.

These two games act as the kick-off to an important week around the league as the entire 2024 NFL regular season schedule will be released this Wednesday, May 15th, at 5:00 PM PDT.

Sactown Sports will have you covered on the San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders schedules, as well as notable games from around the league as we inch closer to the return of football.
