Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will be back in action tonight against Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints in this week’s Monday Night Football matchup.

Kanasas City (4-0) enters play as one of the NFL’s two remaining undefeated teams (Minnesota, 5-0) as Mahomes and the Chiefs will look to beat a Saints team that leads the league in points per game (31.8).

In a game that the 49ers both had to have, and controlled for the most part: They blew it, dropping below .500 on the season once more.

The San Francisco 49ers suffered another devastating loss to a divisional foe in Week 5, losing 24-23. This time it was the Arizona Cardinals, collapsing from a 13-point halftime lead to allow a late-game field goal, ripping out The Faithful’s heart once more. Even still, SF had a chance late to win the game, but quarterback Brock Purdy got hit as he threw and the ball sailed in the air for AZ to intercept.

That was all she wrote. The visitors were able to kneel out the rest of the clock as Levi’s Stadium emptied almost instantaneously.
