49ers Report Positive COVID-19 Test, Close Facilites

Per multiple reports, the San Francisco 49ers have reported a positive COVID-19 test and have closed their team facilities.

The 49ers are currently scheduled to play the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night at Levis Stadium, a game that is still going to be played as of this morning.

Both teams have reported no new positive COVID-19 tests as of Thursday morning, per Mark Maske of The Washington Post.

According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, the team will perform contract tracing before determining the status of tomorrow’s game against the Packers.

The team released the following statement on Wednesday morning:

Both teams will be shorthanded on Thursday night, with the 49ers and Packers playing without some key pieces when they take the field.
