Davante Adams has been blunt with his thoughts on how the Las Vegas Raiders have played so far this season.

The Raiders star wide receiver recently told ESPN that he can only do so much as an individual.

“I wanted to come here and have a big impact, continue to play at a high level and win games. And a lot of those things have happened — just not the winning part.”

On Wednesday, while speaking to the media, Adams was asked if Monday’s win over Green Bay was important and if he reminded his teammates they could have that winning feeling throughout the season.

“What I said more was about not even making this as close as what it was, because a game like that, we need to have some type of convincing victories that way we can really hold on to that feeling, not the feeling of just squeezing out,” Adams said. “Obviously, defense did a great job coming through in the clutch at the end of the game, but we didn’t do much to help them out there. And we haven’t been this year, so that’s more what I’m focused on, rather than just squeezing victories by and being happy at that. I feel like there’s more to take from a game than just the win or loss. Depending on it, you can be on either side. Obviously, you’d rather win regardless, but you can win a game and look shitty, and we’ve done that too many times. So, you have to start changing the way it looks.”

Adams is still dealing with a shoulder injury he suffered in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Even though he played Monday, he didn’t contribute as much as he said he’d like to have, hauling in only four receptions for 45 yards. Nine players caught passes against the Packers, but the offense was only able to put up 17 points. That’s something else he’d like to see improve.

“I mean, yes, cool, but I don’t care. If two people touch the ball and we score 50 points, I’d rather that than have 90 people touch the ball in the game and you go out you can’t score over 20 points,” Adams said.
