Report: Raiders reuniting WR Tyler Lockett with Pete Carroll

The Las Vegas Raiders have reunited WR Tyler Lockett with former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and QB Geno Smith, per reports.

The Las Vegas Raiders are signing wide receiver Tyler Lockett and reuniting him with head coach Pete Carroll, ESPN reported Monday.

Lockett, 33, played for Carroll with the Seahawks from 2015-23. He also played with Raiders quarterback Geno Smith in Seattle from 2020-24.

The Titans granted Lockett’s request for a release last week after he caught just 10 passes for 70 yards and no touchdowns in seven games (one start) during his first season with the Titans.

Lockett signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the Titans during the offseason. His most notable play this season was a fumble recovery for a touchdown late in the Titans’ comeback victory against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5, their only win of the season.

Lockett was an All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection during a prolific decade with the Seahawks, posting at least 40 catches in every season to go along with four seasons of 1,000-plus yards.

He has 671 receptions for 8,664 yards and 61 touchdowns in 168 career games (135 starts) since Seattle drafted him in the third round in 2015.

Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers would still welcome a trade out of Las Vegas, maintaining his preseason position on his future with the franchise.

Meyers is tied for the team lead with 29 receptions for 329 yards and continues to be mentioned as a potential trade target with the Raiders (2-5) fading in an otherwise contentious AFC West race.

“I got no control over that. If I’m here, I’m here,” Meyers said on Tuesday about being on the trade block.

But if Jakobi Meyers had his druthers, the wish for a trade would stand.

“Oh, for sure,” Meyers said. “But I’m a professional at the end of the day. I’m just trying to play good football.”

Jakobi Meyers met with the Raiders’ brass before the start of the regular season and asked for a trade. He said they told him “no.”

He has a $10.5 million base salary in 2025 but no guaranteed money remaining on his three-year deal that can be voided after this season. He turns 29 on Nov. 9, five days after the trade deadline.

Jakobi Meyers became the No. 1 wide receiver for the Raiders following the October 2024 trade of Davante Adams to the New York Jets. He caught 87 passes for 1,027 yards and four touchdowns last season.
