Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw listed among top-10 LB’s on Madden 27

The Madden 27 ratings continue to roll out, and it’s no surprise to see the San Francisco 49ers once again represented among the NFL’s best linebackers.

Leading the way is Fred Warner, who earned a 97 overall rating, making him the highest-rated linebacker in Madden 27. Teammate Dre Greenlaw also made the cut, checking in at eighth overall with an 87 overall rating.

Warner’s place at the top has become the standard. Widely regarded as the best off-ball linebacker in football, the four-time First-Team All-Pro remains the centerpiece of San Francisco’s defense thanks to his rare combination of instincts, range and playmaking ability.

His 97 overall rating puts him comfortably ahead of Baltimore’s Roquan Smith (93), Philadelphia’s Zack Baun (92) and the rest of the league’s top linebackers. For a player who has consistently set the standard at the position, it’s hard to argue with EA Sports’ latest rankings.

Madden 27 Ratings: Linebackers

Greenlaw’s inclusion is just as notable.

When healthy, Greenlaw has proven to be one of the NFL’s most physical and impactful linebackers, bringing an edge to San Francisco’s defense that complements Warner perfectly.

Together, Warner and Greenlaw have formed arguably the league’s best linebacker duo over the past several seasons, and Madden 27 reflects that by placing both players inside the top 10.

The rankings also speak to the continuity of the 49ers’ defense entering 2026. While San Francisco has seen turnover at several positions over the last two offseasons, Warner continues to anchor the middle of the defense, while Greenlaw enters the season looking to remind everyone why he’s considered one of the NFL’s premier linebackers when healthy.

For now, though, the 49ers can boast something no other team can in Madden 27: the game’s highest-rated linebacker and another top-10 talent lining up right beside him.
