Original Story
Maxx Crosby, the Las Vegas Raiders‘ leader in sacks, may miss Monday’s prime-time game against the Chiefs.
While a division matchup on Monday Night Football is important, Crosby is waiting for something else that takes precedence over a game, the birth of a child.
Crosby has said the baby is due any day. And coach Josh McDaniels is planning for the team’s edge rusher to be in Kansas City, he knows something like this is bigger than football.
“Again, I’m not an expert in giving birth and everything else,” McDaniels said with a laugh. “However that goes, it goes. So, whenever the baby decides it’s time, then we’ll have to make a decision on that. Look, I think obviously that comes first, and that’s an experience he’ll never get back. So, we’ll see how it goes and we’ll do what we have to do as a football team.”
McDaniels added he’s suggested eating spicy food and “bouncing on the ball.”
There is no official designation from the Raiders. This story will be updated if Crosby is announced as out.
