Maxx Crosby lands at 24th in NFL Top 100

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby is once again among the NFL’s elite, landing at No. 24 in the league’s Top 100 Players of 2026.

Crosby dropped two spots from his No. 22 ranking in 2025, but remains a top-25 player as voted on by his peers.

The star defensive end enters the 2026 season after another productive campaign in which he recorded 10 sacks, 28 tackles for loss, 73 tackles, 20 quarterback hits, an interception, and two forced fumbles over 15 games.

His 28 tackles for loss ranked second in the NFL, highlighting the impact he can make against both the run and the pass.

Maxx Crosby, 29, is also a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time second-team All-Pro, earning his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl selection following the 2025 season. He has been one of the most consistent defensive forces in the league since breaking out with the Raiders.

Crosby’s offseason, however, was anything but ordinary.

The Raiders agreed to trade their star defensive end to the Baltimore Ravens in March in a blockbuster deal that was reportedly set to send two first-round picks back to Las Vegas. Crosby even traveled to Baltimore, but the trade ultimately fell apart after the Ravens reviewed the results of his physical.

Crosby had undergone surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee following the 2025 season. Baltimore’s concerns about the knee led the Ravens to back out of the agreement, sending Crosby back to Las Vegas.

Rather than dwell on the unusual situation, Crosby has embraced his return to the Raiders. He previously described the failed trade as “water under the bridge” and has remained focused on his recovery and getting ready for the upcoming season.

Now back in Las Vegas, Crosby has an opportunity to put the entire saga behind him and focus on staying healthy. If he can do that, the Raiders will once again have one of the NFL’s premier defensive players anchoring their defense.

For Maxx Crosby, the goal entering 2026 is simple: get healthy, get back on the field and continue proving why he remains one of the league’s most feared defensive ends.
