After only practicing in limited fashion Friday, it appears that both George Kittle and Fred Warner have done enough to suit up for Week 5.
The San Francisco 49ers announced that both team captains will be active for Week 5’s clash with the Arizona Cardinals. After battling ailments throughout the practice week, both players are back in the fold.
Kittle has been dealing with a rib injury sustained Week 4 against the New England Patriots. While he didn’t miss much on-field action, the injury was enough to bother him through the week. The Iowa alum missed Week 3 due to hamstring tightness as well.
Meanwhile, Warner has been dealing with ankle injury sustained Week 4. He would miss the entire second half after dominating New England for 30 minutes. He would only practice in a limited capacity this week, but is one of few 49ers to be able to play without any practice reps.
Both Kittle and Warner will provide a boost to the 49ers as a whole, looking to go above .500 on team record following Week 5.
