49ers Kittle, Warner QUESTIONABLE for Week 5 vs. Cardinals

While both George Kittle and Fred Warner are trending in the right direction, both men’s Week 5 status is still in doubt ahead of Sunday.

San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan announced Friday that both team captains will be listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals. The former is dealing with a rib injury sustained in Week 4’s win over the New England Patriots, while the latter has an ankle injury that sidelined him for the second half of the same contest.

Kittle is seen as the more likely 49er to play Week 5, seen in better spirits during the practice week than Warner. However, both men returned to practice Friday and were moving around well, per reports.

In other injury news, both LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf) and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos (knee) have bee ruled out for Week 5. Neither member of the 49ers practiced this week. Wide receiver Chris Conley is also seen as doubtful for Sunday due to an oblique injury.

Joining Kittle and Warner as questionable is a few Red & Gold players, including rookie WR Jacob Cowing (shoulder) and cornerback Isaac Yiadom (thigh).
