49ers players to report to training camp mid-to-end of July

While the dog days of summer are officially setting in, we know have dates for when the 49ers will return to Santa Clara for 2024 Training Camp.

The NFL released their 2024 Training Camp report dates Tuesday morning, with all 32 teams listed in the report. That includes the San Francisco 49ers, set to have rookies report on July 16th. Following the new recruits will be the veterans, reporting to Levi’s Stadium on the 23rd of next month.

The start of training camp should follow suit, with exact dates and times open to fans and media to be announced by the team.

The San Francisco 49ers are one of six franchises to hold camp in California. The others include fellow California residents, Chargers and Rams, while other teams making the trek out West include the Cowboys, Saints and Raiders. All other teams besides the 49ers will hold training camp in Southern California. SF is one of several NFL squads to hold training camp at their own facilities.

2024 Training Camp will serve as another benchmark for Brandon Aiyuk’s contract saga.

Aiyuk, 26, is seeking a massive extension in the realm of $30 million annually. SF has been unwilling to meet that number this offseason, with talks reportedly stalling out. The Rocklin native has not been seen with the team since, skipping out on mandatory minicamp last month.

A lot can happen in-between now and the start of training camp, with both sides wanting a deal to get done. Will they put pen to paper is a while different story.
