The San Francisco 49ers continue to get bitten by the injury bug.

As Deebo Samuel recovers from pneumonia, star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been lost for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL and MCL. This adds to a long list of 49ers injuries that already includes All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles), who has yet to make his 2024 season debut.

During Tuesday morning’s edition of The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross, former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury joined the show to share his thoughts on the San Francisco 49ers’ recent loss to Kansas City, explain how hard it is for Brock Purdy to navigate the injuries in the offense and much more.

While the 49ers Week 7 didn’t go to plan, there is one silver lining: The return of Ricky Pearsall.

The San Francisco 49ers’ rookie wide receiver made his long-awaited NFL debut Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Pearsall is only six weeks removed from suffering a gunshot wound to the chest during an attempted armed robbery. Despite the horrific incident, the rookie walked away with no vital organs or bones struck, as the bullet traveled near his armpit and out his back.

Because of that, the wideout was able to return to football in 2024, logging three catches for 21 receiving yards Sunday.
