Plenty of former San Francisco 49ers have found new homes early into NFL free agency.

With free agency fully underway, there’s been plenty of movement around the NFL. The San Francisco 49ers have made minimal additions, but seen plenty of their former guys find new homes.

Ongoing conversations with quarterback Brock Purdy limit their spending ability across the rest of the roster.

Deebo Samuel exited to the Commanders via trade. Defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw joined Samuel, signing a three-year, $45 million deal with Washington.

The Kansas City Chiefs picked up some former 49ers, adding HB Elijah Mitchell (one-year, $3.5 million) and OT Jaylon Moore (two-year, $30 million).

Their pass defense took a hit with S Talanoa Hufanga joining the Broncos on a three-year, $45 million deal and CB Charvarius Ward headed to Indianapolis for a three-year deal worth up to $60 million.

Fan favorite linebacker Dre Greenlaw joins Hufanga in Denver, signing a three-year, $35 million deal.

Guard Aaron Banks inked a four-year, $77 million deal with the Green Bay Packers, and backup quarterback Joshua Dobbs joined the Patriots on a two-year deal.

With free agency in full swing, the San Francisco 49ers added former Jaguars TE Luke Farrell to a three-year deal on Monday afternoon.

According to NFL.com‘s Ian Rapoport, Farrell’s agreement is “worth up to $20.25 million, including $11 million guaranteed.”

Luke Farrell spent all four of his NFL seasons with Jacksonville after being selected by them in the 5th round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.

The 27-year-old started eight of their 17 games last season, recording 12 receptions for 67 yards.
